A Russian-speaking three-day Jewish conference
at a hotel in the Greater Lisbon area
Limmud is a unique Jewish educational and cultural event open to absolutely everyone, offering an active, intensive and incredibly engaging learning experience. For more than 40 years, Limmud conferences have been held all over the world in many languages, including Russian.
Participants build their own schedule, choosing from several parallel sessions. Presenters come from all walks of life — politicians, scientists, journalists, artists. And anyone can propose their own session.
Limmud is also a place to meet people: in its warm and friendly atmosphere you can find new friends, partners and like-minded people. There is no divide between "organizers" and "audience" — the conference is created by the very people who take part in it.
And everyone chooses their own role — join as a participant, run your own session, become a volunteer or support the project as a sponsor:
▶ Watch in 2 minutes (in Russian)
The Limmud program includes sessions — lectures, discussions and workshops on a wide range of topics — as well as concerts, film screenings, dancing and theater performances.

Want to run your own session? At Limmud, anyone can become a presenter!
Limmud runs a dedicated program for children of different ages — every bit as rich as the adults' one: games, workshops, quests, plays, sports, swimming and discovering Jewish tradition.
Limmud Portugal 2026 will take place at a five-star country hotel, 50 km (a 40-minute drive) from Lisbon and 280 km (a 2.5-hour drive) from Porto. The hotel is designed in classic Portuguese style and surrounded by golf courses and vineyards. Rooms, conference venues, the restaurant, the kids' area and the lounges for coffee breaks and socialising are all under one roof.
🔒 For security reasons, the hotel name and address will be sent to you by email after you complete registration.

The magic of Limmud is that it is created entirely by volunteers. Both organizers and presenters work for the idea.
The organizational structure of Limmud looks like this:
Anyone can choose any of these roles:
You come for the sessions and go home. Meals and lodging are up to you.
from 180 €
Sessions plus the shared table — breakfasts, lunches and dinners with everyone.
from 330 €
The full format: you stay at the hotel and miss none of the evenings.
from 520 €
The full cost of participation is around 620 € and more per person: program 280 €, meals 150 €, accommodation from 190 €.
However, we work with sponsors and micro-donors who support the program. Thanks to them, the subsidised program fee is 180 € instead of 280 €.
If you can afford the full amount, we will be glad. That way you help someone for whom the subsidy made the difference.
| Category | Subsidised | Full price |
|---|---|---|
| Adult (14+) | 180 € | 280 € |
| Child (5–13) | 100 € | 150 € |
Toddlers aged 4 and under do not take part in the program. If you need a babysitter, write to us and we will try to connect you with one.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Kosher style — buffet and water Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch | 150 € |
| Glatt kosher — in lunch boxes Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch | 200 € |
Depends on the room category you choose — from 190 € per double room per night, breakfast included. You will see exact prices for every category during registration.
Limmud exists thanks to the support of sponsors and donors. Your help makes it possible for hundreds of people to attend the conference.
Leave your contact and we will open registration for you 24 hours earlier than for everyone else — so you will have a wider choice of rooms.
